An amazing weird and wonderful cinematic experience. Most of the defects people complain about are a result of Stanley re-editing the movie out of his own pocket to try and restore what he had in mind. I can't get enough of this bleak strange movie, for more info check out his film diary he made which is online somewhere under the title "I Wake up Screaming" which dovetails nicely with the rough-cut "making-of" included on the best DVD version so far.
